Homosexuality in Curacao

Curaçao is known to be gay-friendly and is a popular vacation destination among Dutch and American gays. A special gay cruise boat moors regularly in Willemstad and some of the hotels are affiliated with the IGLTA (International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association). Because some Antilleans disapprove of homosexuality, a little discretion in public is appreciated. There are no special entertainment venues for gays, but parties aimed at gays and lesbians are regularly organized.
