Barbara Beach
Entrance fee: NAfl. 4,- per person
Opening hours: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
This long sandy beach lies along the canal of a future resort area. There is a casual atmosphere and the beach is long enough for a leisurely stroll. You can swim extensively in the canal, where yachts and sailing boats sail by (the swimming area is cordoned off). You can also laze in the shade of the palm trees and other gnarled trees on the waterfront, while the kids paddle in the calm, shallow waters (beach chairs are available for rent). The beach is very popular with families. Topless bathing is permitted.
The snack bar has a comfortable patio in the shade and there are no radios or loud music.
